Rob East
Sports Massage Therapist — Horsham, West Sussex
East Point Performance Therapy is a West Sussex–based mobile and clinic sports massage service. I set it up because I wanted to offer something more than the standard treatment experience — sessions that are actually built around the person on the table, not a generic protocol that gets repeated for every client.
From a young age I've been heavily involved in competitive swimming, football, and Mixed Martial Arts. Sport has always been a big part of my life, and working through injuries myself — and watching teammates and training partners do the same — gave me a real interest in understanding why bodies break down and what it takes to get them back to full function. That curiosity eventually became a career.
I trained through NCFE, completing a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport, Physical Activity and Exercise Science before going on to qualify in Sports Massage Therapy. I'm currently working towards Level 4, which will open up more advanced assessment and treatment options — particularly around injury rehabilitation.
I also hold a certificate in Cupping Massage Therapy, which I use regularly as an add-on to standard sessions when it's appropriate. It's genuinely effective for reaching deep tissue that hands alone can't always access, and a lot of clients who've tried it become regulars with it.
The clinic at Slinfold opened in May 2026 — a dedicated treatment space with free parking, for clients who prefer a clinic setting over mobile. Both options are available and it genuinely comes down to what works best for you. I'll bring everything I need to your door if that's easier.
The name East Point reflects the idea of a starting point for improvement — a reference point you come back to after training, after injury, or whenever your body needs a reset. Relief, recovery, results.
